New Logic is based on the playfully troublesome existence of objects and the process of physically and psychologically unlearning their uses.

The purpose of developing a new logic is to question, discover, and alter the ordinary functional qualities of our environment in order to create imaginative conditions for behaviour that supports unconventional thought and interactions with the world.

It's obvious you were not having normal everyday relations with the objects around you in the room. Who ties a doughnut to a balloon? You signalled a fetishistic relationship with each and every object. Some of the objects were commodities (e.g., the balloon) and maybe some weren't. I was thinking of your performance first as object fetishism, not commodity fetishism. You weren't signalling a critique of capitalism, I thought. It could have been a pre-capitalist or archaic relationship with totemic objects — a human relationship with objects, something that could be described as spiritual, if you wanted to use that term. Or it could also be seen as a basic artistic relationship with materials and objects, a "making special," in Ellen Dissanayake's words.
